Dr. Mary Shafer-Morris
Dr. Mary Shafer-Morrishas put others first throughout her entire life. Growing up she was a teen leader in her local 4-H club which made her realize helping others is something she wanted to do for her lifelong career. That information combined with a long history of being a chiropractic patient due to chronic ear infections as a toddler is why Dr. Mary chose to become a chiropractor.
After graduating from Lawton Community Schools as Co-Valedictorian she attended Western Michigan University where she majored in Biomedical Science. Dr. Mary then transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic where she first earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Science. After numerous classroom hours, tests and weekend seminars she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Logan. While completing her chiropractic degree Dr. Mary also enrolled in masters classes and recently earned her Masters of Science degree from Logan University in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Not only has Dr. Mary been able to earn her B.S, M.S, and D.C. degrees, but she also worked hard to learn as many techniques as possible to ensure the best results for her patients. Dr. Mary has been performing acupuncture with previous employment and has brought it to Atlas, she has helped chronic and acute back pain, sinus infections, knee pain, and many more conditions. On top of her acupuncture training, Dr. Mary also became certified in activator, kinesio tape, Active Release Technique (ART), and many more soft tissue treatment techniques. She believes in finding the best technique for each individual patients’ condition.
Both Dr. Drew and Dr. Mary have always been very involved in their local community, from 4-H and sports in their youth ages to participating in numerous different civic clubs and church organizations. While they are not spending time volunteering and bettering the community, they enjoy hiking with their 2 rescue dogs, Jasper and Lacy!
